MONTHLY NEWSLETTER
CELEBRATES ITS 200th ISSUE

KALAMAZOO, April 1, 2000—Marking its 200th consecutive monthly issue, Sid Cato’s Newsletter on Annual Reports, begun in September 1983, in April:

Reviewed 1999 annual reports to shareholders from the likes of Dana Corp., R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co., IBM, Beckman Coulter and DTE Energy.

Applauded a PRSA finding that the annual report is seen as the most credible source in making investment decisions, "which I’ve said all along."

Criticized the report of Wisconsin’s Firstar as not being "user-friendly."

Listed additional names of repeat-visitors signed up for his 13th "international annual report conference." More than four dozen prior attendees to his conference have registered for this fall’s Conference in the Millennium.

Quoted a veteran producer as pronouncing the print annual report "irreplaceable," corporations’ growing Internet presence or no.

Subscribers to Cato’s newsletter range from an executive vice president and vice presidents for corporate communications, finance or investor relations, to directors and managers of the project involving what he calls "the key corporate communiqué." He also is a contributing editor to Chief Executive, for which he annually picks the world’s 10 best and worst reports.
