KALAMAZOO, June 1, 2000Do corporate chieftains carereally care?
About their annual report to shareholders, that is. Mr. Annual Report (see his new website, www.mrar.com) says they do, and he cites findings from his 15th annual Producer Poll to support his position. Annual report guru Sid Cato, in Issue No. 202 of his monthly Newsletter on Annual Reports, said the numbers indicate "86 of every 100 CEOs are actively involved" in their company's annual report, "up from two of three 15 years earlier." He reported in his June issue that "Nearly three of five CEOs are said (by their producers) to actually have had a hand/played a role in writing their letter to shareholders." He said that's an improvement from "one in three back in 1985, first year of my poll." |
