YEAR NO. 18
FOR ANNUAL REPORT ANALYSIS

KALAMAZOO, Jan. 1, 2001.—Monitoring the world's annual reports to shareholders of publicly held companies enters its 18th year.

Sid Cato began his monthly Newsletter on Annual Reports in September 1983. He started evaluating annuals worldwide using computer programs he conceived and directed creation of.

In the January 2001 issue of his publication, No. 209, he analyzes the first 21 reports for 2000—by companies on a fiscal year basis—to arrive in his offices here.

Cato said half the 75 spots available for his 14th annual International Annual Report Conference have been reserved—"paid," in his words. He said visitors would come from Sweden, the United Kingdom, Australia and South Africa—and, "for the first time, Israel."

Cato, as a contributing editor to Chief Executive, for the last 17 years has picked the world's 10 best and 10 worst annual reports.
