CHICAGO-BASED GRAPHIC DESIGN
FIRM’S BODY OF WORK HAILED

MARSHALL, Mich., Aug.1, 2004.—A Chicago-based graphic design firm's body of work, its oeuvre, if you will, is delineated in a newsletter celebrating its 252nd issue—every month since September 1983.

Sid Cato, in the August issue of his long-running Newsletter on Annual Reports, hailed Meta-4 Design's work as "consistently superb."

Cato is a former corporate officer, as well as a journalist and author of a book on coping with grief. He spends full-time monitoring the world's annual reports, utilizing computer programs he conceived and directed creation of.

He commended Meta-4 for not employing "a cookie-cutter" approach: "Each book it works on is unique in appearance."

One, wrote Cato, for Wisconsin-based Manitowoc, achieved "world-class" status for its "umpteenth year in a row—save one." He said Manitowoc's 1993 book fell seven points shy of achieving world-class status—those annual reports scoring at least 100 of a potential 135 points.

In addition, Cato hailed AFLAC, its report once again achieving world's-best ranking, tied with Tellabs with 133 of a potential 135 points.

His website, www.sidcato.com, introduced in May 1996, has recorded 96,000 visitors.
